Villa Celia is located at 9240 NE Schuyler St in Portland, OR, 97220, at the bottom of Rocky Butte and allows for easy access to freeways I-205 and I-84. It's also very close to the Rockwood transit station and connections to the bus and MAX lines.
Extensively remodeled about 15 years ago, the home was updated to allow the functioning of a care business. A few new rooms were built to accommodate 3 elderly residents, while the other side of the home was thoroughly updated. Wide hallways and doors make it easy to use wheelchairs and a spacious living room can host a large number of family members and visitors.
The generous living room, the formal dining room and a nicely appointed kitchen with a second dining area, work well for birthday parties and holiday gatherings. We offer these events on a regular basis to all our resident clients as part of the care program. Their family members are invited to celebrate with our family and the members of our team.
Care services in the Portland home, or Villa Celia as we like to call it, include help with daily activities, medication management, Alzheimer care and memory loss care. We'll work with the medical office or hospital to follow up on treatment, as instructed by the current physician. Physical therapy can be performed in the care home if ordered by the doctor, as well as hospice care if needed.
Activities, during the summer months, include cookouts and barbecue grilling on the large deck overlooking the neighborhood. Everyone is welcome into the front and/or backyard of the home and enjoy a bit of gardening, walking around or watching the squirrels and birds at play.
During the cold and rainy months of the year we encourage the residents living in the home to participate in a variety of activities, such as crafts, games, knitting, movie watching, etc. or simply just sit back in the family room and take in the view.
